Why Have Player Rankings?

In the Singles and Team Events at CCS Championships, there are different Divisions based on Skill Level:

CA – Advanced
CB – Open
CC – Standard

By ranking Players and Teams and restricting the Division that they can play in, this provides everyone a better chance in competing and enjoying success.

How Do Player Rankings Get Assigned?

All Players are assigned a Performance Ranking immediately after every Singles or Team Event of any CCS or ACS Championship as follows:

2. CCS Player Rankings

The Performance Rankings are then used to assign separate PLAYER RANKINGS for future TEAM and SINGLES Events.

PLAYER 'TEAM' RANKING

Will consist of the highest of the Player's last 3 Performance Rankings in both Singles Events since 1996 and in Team Events since 2005 in any CCS or ACS Championship.

A Player's 'TEAM' RANKING may not be lower than their 'SINGLES' RANKING.

PLAYER 'SINGLES' RANKING

Will consist of the highest of the Player's last 3 Performance Rankings in Singles Events only since 1996 in any CCS or ACS Championship.

A Player's 'SINGLES' RANKING may not be more than one level lower than their 'TEAM' RANKING.

3. ACS Player Rankings

If they have an ACS – American CueSports Player Ranking, then equivalent CCS PLayer Rankings will also be assigned as follows:

CA – On AM Masters List
CB – On AO Open List

4. KA - Known Ability

The CCS reserves the right to assign or change any Player Ranking based on KA – Known Ability. A CU - Unranked Player will be considered a CC - Standard Player unless ranked otherwise on KA - Known Ability.
