How To Enter
CCS CHAMPIONSHIPS DIVISIONAL PLAY
CCS Championships offer DIVISIONAL PLAY for the Singles and Team Events consisting of A-ADVANCED, B-OPEN and C- STANDARD. The goal is for Players and Teams to be competing against others closer to their skill level such that they have a greater chance of both winning and enjoying the competition.
Based on skill level: The A ADVANCED is for the most skillful Players who have shown the ability to win against the very best. Runouts are not a surprise; they are expected. The C STANDARD is for those who are more than novice Players but are either new to Championship Play or have yet to move up the ladder. The B OPEN are accomplished Players who are knocking on the door of A Advanced.
It's not easy, but here's how CCS tries to get everyone in the right Division:
ENTRY The CCS has a PLAYER RANKING SYSTEM which will determine the lowest Division that a Player or Team is eligible to enter.
The Rankings are based on past performance in CCS Singles and Team Event play (the highest of your last 2) and ACS Player Rankings.
There are also Rankings based on ‘KA – Known Ability’ for which the CCS relies on League Operator player knowledge.
To see your Player Ranking and for further information, click on 'Player Rankings' on the left sidebar.
AT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS The CCS also uses a Qualifying ‘Ladder’ approach at each Championship whereby a certain proportion of Players or Teams will get ‘bumped up’ to the next higher Division for the Finals.
At the same time, the CCS has now added Cash Prizes in Qualifying for any Player or Team that gets 'bumped up'. This is in addition to any Cash Prize they may win in the higher Division.
